Great Companies Are Built on Great Leadership – Valtix CEO Doug Murray Honored with 2021 Stevie Award
I am proud to share that our very own CEO, Doug Murray, was named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Entrepreneur of the Year Category for Companies Under 500 Employees in the 19th Annual American Business Awards®.
As a serial entrepreneur, Doug has made impressive business decisions along his career path and 2020 was no exception. Early in the year, as CEO of Big Switch Networks, he orchestrated the sale of the company to Arista Networks. After leading the integration, he was on to his next adventure when he joined us here at Valtix in the second part of the year. My co-founders (Vijay Chandler and Praveen Patnala) and I were happy to have Doug join us on the journey of building the next great company in security. In short order after joining, Doug helped us expand the leadership team, making several key executive hires, relooked at the financial and pricing models, raised $12.5M in new capital, and forged an important strategic partnership with Cisco – all in the midst of a pandemic.
Additionally, it was just announced that Valtix was named a Gartner 2021 Cool Vendor. This is a clear statement that the market is moving in our direction.
With Doug’s leadership in place, the stage is set to create a great cloud security company for the next decade. I look forward to working with Doug in the future and congratulate him on this award.
